Check presentation by entertainer Donna Sachet kicks off San Francisco Pride Celebration

WHAT:
To kick off the 41st annual San Francisco Pride Celebration, Bank of America will award a total of $130,000 to nine local nonprofits that support the needs of the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender (LGBT) communities. Local entertainer Donna Sachet will present checks to representatives from: Lavender Youth Recreation and Information Center (LYRIC), Our Family Coalition, The National AIDS Memorial Grove, San Francisco Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual Transgender Community Center, Horizons Foundation, National Center for Lesbian Rights, Project Open Hand, San Francisco PRIDE Celebration and San Francisco AIDS Foundation. For the fifth consecutive year, Bank of America is an official sponsor of the Annual San Francisco Pride Parade and Celebration. Last year, Bank of America was honored as Best Overall Float Contingent. This year's 200 bank employees will ride and walk alongside its float, featuring DJ St. John from 99.7 FM. Over the past five years Bank of America has contributed over $1 million to LGBT nonprofits and events in the San Francisco Bay Area.
