 Toad Hall is a relatively new Castro District hot spot. It resides in the heart of gay San Francisco in the recently renovated building home to the retired Pendulum. Toad Hall has quickly earned a reputation in San Francisco as being one of the premier happy hour spots and is now our number one choice for just that.
Dark whispers of brown and grey crooned with wispy watery falls of blues, purples, and pinks caress this bar making the ambiance for what a happy hour should be. Most people love the idea of being able to get a 2 for 1 drink, but when combined with top shelf liquor and low dollar prices you really can't go wrong.
Our best advice, start with one of their delectable Strawberry Cosmos, really, it's nothing short of perfection, and you won't need to go to the bar for a refill; at Toad Hall in the Castro they come GIANT size. Their cosmos keep you loose enough to chat with just about anyone and even hit their spacious well designed dance floor. These Cosmos are just $2.50 per glass and they taste amazing! Don't forget that while enjoying your buzz to check out the scenery! Their front windows the perch right on 18th street allow for a perfect view of all the action.
The happy hour is amazing here, but this place is really the only place in the Castro that sufficiently draws crowds from all the eclectic bars provided in the district, you can see a variety of scenery transcending from the big ole' bears to the most adorable twinks. The crowd has a flavor for all appetites. All these elements combine with the largest back patio in the Castro; a rare find that you simply must check out. You're sure to have a great time at Toad Hall in the Castro District of San Francisco.
