Surrogacy has been in the news recently as a way for gay couples and singles to build their families. In all cases when a surrogate is required, the surrogate is providing an essential piece of the complex puzzle of how a baby is created. Both straight and gay intended parents are thrilled...

OMG The curly fries are so good, they are like totally the best!!! I wish I had some right now, so I could eat them all! OK, I just had to get that off my chest. Now on to reviewing the actual restaurant. If you're heading out to the Castro District San Francisco and you're looking for...
For those of you who have been living under a rock, you may not have heard of the Castro District phenomenon, Ike’s Place. After a couple of moves, Ike's has now settled into its permanent location on 16th at Sanchez, we at MyCastro.com thought it would be a great time to spread the word...
My passion is helping people to form families when traditional methods are out of the question. I know what it's like to strongly desire a child and my heart goes out to anyone who faces an obstacle on their way to building a family. Having worked in "ART" Assisted Reproductive Technology...
Toad Hall is a relatively new Castro District hot spot. It resides in the heart of gay San Francisco in the recently renovated building home to the retired Pendulum. Toad Hall has quickly earned a reputation in San Francisco as being one of the premier happy hour spots and is now our number one choice for just that...
Lime is amazing; ask anyone. The atmosphere, good beats, amazing drinks, and even better cuisine combine for an ultra-chic dining (or just drinking) experience. Oh, and don't forget the crowd. Finally! That is the first word that comes to mind when recalling my most recent visit to the Castro's newest bar, Blackbird. The Blackbird is a sultry smooth blend of gay, straight, and fanciful right here in the Castro. Not far from Church Street station and the hustle and bustle of Market and Church...
Wild video screens and its circular dance floor make Badlands one of the Castro's most frequented and popular nightclubs. The Dance floor is a circle in shape with plenty of room for on lookers to sip their martinis and toss back 2 for 1 Long Islands during happy hour. (Be sure to come in between 3-9pm.)...
It's scrumptious, high quality, cheap, and fresh: What more could you want from a burger joint? Adriano Paganini's (Owner of Pasta Pomodoro, Starbelly, and Berretta, just to name a few) latest restaurant creation has a simple straight forward menu that is delectable enough for even the most...

About the Castro District, San Francisco
Twin Peaks bar, the first gay bar in San Francisco to have windows greets most first time visitors and locals alike directly on Market Street welcoming all. What used to be the intersection for the gay rights movement, today gives way to community and a feeling of home instigated by its proactive GLBT residents. On any given day, you can walk this intersection and be a part of history while "Gays" can be seen teaming out of every retail store, bar, dance club, and restaurant for blocks. Additionally, the world famous Castro Theatre can be seen illuminating Castro Street signaling to any unaware traveler you are in fact in the gayest neighborhood in the world.
While the Castro façade has changed many times over the years, what remains the same is its continued importance both symbolically and physically to the San Francisco gay community. The Castro will continue to be "the" spot to meet GLBT people and their friends while being a beacon of diversity and hope for many around the globe. In the Castro individuals are free to be who they are regardless of social "norms," acting as catalyst for change and acceptance worldwide.
